The Seated Traveller

2016

Our experiences through life are influenced by the compression of time and space through the simultaneous access to events, places and multiple realities. I'm interested in what these juxtaposed events, places and time frames say about our desires and how they play on our emotions and collective memories. I employ a painting process where I paint ‘new’ paintings on top of each other, juxtapositions forming new wholes. The painting process is my experience of being in one reality after the other yet each equally accessible.
